• Full Time, 1.0 FTE
• Monday- Friday, 7:30am- 4:30pm

CentraCare’s Weight Management Team

We are a progressive and comprehensive obesity medicine department that leads the state in our field. We want to treat, help, and have an impact on the whole person. Our team of physicians, advanced practice providers and dietitians is very collaborative and works well together.

As a provider with our Weight Management, you can expect to:

• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations on patients
• Formulate the appropriate differential diagnosis based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings
• Order and evaluate pertinent laboratory data and diagnostic procedures
• Prescribe pharmacological agents and non-pharmacological therapies
• Plan a course of treatment with the patient
• Consult with physicians as needed and make appropriate referrals for care

To be considered for our position you would need to:

• Be certified as a Nurse Practitioner or have a current Minnesota Physician Assistant Licensure

We would prefer that you have:

• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working independently with your own patient panel in one of the following areas:
  • Family Practice
  • Weight Management
  • Endocrine
  • Chronic Disease Management

In addition, all applicants must have a current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number prior to receiving clinical privileges.
