Nurse Practitioner Director, Addiction Services Job at Clinical & Support Options
CSO is looking for a Nurse Practitioner Director for Addiction Services to provide diagnostic and evaluation services, as well as ongoing medication monitoring and treatment for clients and to provide consultation, training and supervision of team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic and evaluation services for clients, with flexibility and nimbleness, as needed, primarily in shelter, 24-hr and DMH programs, as well as prescribing needed medications and treatments.
- Conduct medication reviews and monitoring as needed, with bridging to primary care and specialists.
- Provide medical consultations to staff.
- Evaluate or assist in the evaluation and medical clearance of clients in need of emergency treatment services for possible hospitalization.
- Complete necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Comply with DMH, DPH and other licensing authorities, and third-party payor regulations regarding record-keeping.
- Provide support in documenting, collecting, monitoring, reporting, and evaluating data required for grant funded programs.
- Collaborate with and provide training and supervision to team members, in order to provide comprehensive, flexible services to clients.
- Collaborate with staff from other programs and agencies in order to coordinate care.
- Represent the agency in a positive manner and maintain good working relationships with other agencies and professionals.
- Attend job related meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to the philosophy of "customer satisfaction" and consistently follow the same by providing reliable, responsive, consistent, trauma-informed and high-quality service in a timely manner to staff and external customers.
- Support and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation; support CEO-approved agency goals and philosophies, sharing a fundamental philosophy that enhances the agency's global reputation within the community.
- Communicate regularly with staff on progress toward defined goals of Senior/Agency Management team; provide specific feedback and initiate corrective action when defined goals and/or required results are not met.
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, with DPH/DEA authorization to prescribe medication required. Must be licensed in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse, and have a minimum of three years' experience treating adults with serious mental illness and some experience treating adolescents and children. Previous supervisory experience required. Must be familiar with community resources and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Computer proficiency required including ability to work with email, electronic health record and word processing software.
