Nursing Assistant Job at Westminster Village, Inc
Follows nursing care plans to provide quality direct resident care that adheres to State of Arizona Nursing rules and regulations ensuring a safe, professional environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY:
- Bathe and dress residents.
- Serve meals and assist residents with eating.
- Assist residents with locomotion and exercises.
- Lifts residents into beds, wheelchairs, etc.
- Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Documents and records on E-Mar, vital signs, input/output, bowel movement, meal/snack percentages.
- Completes flow sheet paper documentation.
- Observes and reports all discernible symptoms, reactions, and any changes in condition.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Nursing Assistant certificate from a state approved program.
- Valid in good standing license through the State of Arizona Board of Nursing.
- Current fingerprint clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, reach above, at or below shoulder height, and maintain positions for short periods of time.
- Able to lift 40 pounds.
- Performs any other duties or assumes any other responsibilities as directed by the Charge Nurse, ADON, DON, or Administrator
