       Job Description
      
 
      
        Inver Hills Community College seeks a Nursing Assistant Instructor to:
       
       - Teach Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Curriculum.
- Assist in student recruitment and placement.
- Maintain student records.
- Advise and evaluate assigned students.
- Serve as a liaison to long-term care facilities and coordinate student clinical experiences.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Assistant Coordinator to schedule Nursing Assistant courses.
Instructor is responsible for all activities related to teaching and learning including, but not limited to, instructional planning, curriculum development, student evaluation and records, student recruitment and retention, student advising and placement, classroom/climate preparation and management, interpersonal relations, promote safety in all aspects of program activities, purchase supplies and equipment, participate in professional development experiences, work as an effective team member of the department, maintenance of professional skills and credentials, and participate on college committees.
       Required Qualifications
      
 
      
        Education Requirement
       
       - Diploma or associate degree in nursing.
         Occupational Experience Requirement
       
       - Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience of direct patient care, one year must be in long term care.
Recency Requirement
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
- Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
       Preferred Qualifications
      
 
      - One year of home health care experience.
- B.S. in Nursing or Related Field.
- Teaching experience.

        Salary: Full time faculty salaries currently range from $40,912 – $85,892 annually. Salary schedule placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 
        2021-2023 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.
