GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Performs highly complex (senior-level) graphic and multimedia design and production work for the Child Support Division. Work involves designing, illustrating, and producing engaging graphics and interactive media materials. Responsibilities include the development and execution of digital media content to be made available to internal and external customers through various communication platforms.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Plans, designs, develops and produces graphics and interactive media materials using traditional and new creative options as part of a comprehensive communications effort.
Reviews and approves production proofs.
Prepares operating and production procedures and reports.
Assists with analyzing content for accessibility; and assists in recommending changes to make content accessible and remediate accessibility issues.
Performs related work as assigned
Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: communication design, fine arts, graphic design, or visual arts.
Experience: 1 year of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: graphic arts and multimedia production.
Experience in graphic arts and multimedia production.
Knowledge of graphic and multimedia design.
Knowledge of media graphics production methods, techniques, equipment and software.
Knowledge of animation, design principles, and printing processes.
Skill in the use of graphic design software and multimedia packages.
Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Skill in effective oral and written communication
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to plan the preparation of graphic design and multimedia projects.
Ability to design and produce graphics and interactive media materials.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally and visually.
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working for a local, state or federal agency.
Knowledge of the Texas Child Support program.
Skill in the use of Creative Cloud and Microsoft Suite and Teams
Ability to create engaging multimedia and video content for various audience types.
Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish
