Varney Agency is seeking an Ocean Marine Business Producer in the Scarborough area. Varney Agency provides a wide array of insurance products and services. This position requires being an active presence in the community, talking to prospects, evaluating risk, and recommending appropriate insurance coverages to fit the business’s needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prospecting new business; working closely with Customer Service Advocate to assure required information is transferred between client/prospect and insurer on new business and renewals. Addresses all coverage, pricing and service concerns with clients, underwriters, or brokers. Accomplishes annual sales goal through aggressive prospecting activity.
Skills required: Past sales and marine industry experience highly preferred. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize. Highly motivated with a strong initiative and work ethic, dependable, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
