Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire an Office Associate for the Choate Mental Health & Developmental Center located in Anna, Illinois to perform a variety of complex, specialized clerical, keyboarding and electronic data processing procedures for the Dietary Department. Answers phones, takes messages, schedules appointments, receives, sorts, read and distributes mail including confidential correspondence.
Job Responsibilities
Performs a variety of complex, specialized clerical, keyboarding and electronic data processing procedures for the Dietary Department.
Keyboards a variety of complex forms, reports, charts, memorandums and correspondence using independent judgement as to format.
Answers phones, takes messages, schedules appointments, receives, sorts, reads, and distributes mail including confidential correspondence.
Compiles information for computerized food inventory and quarterly or semi-annual food orders with CMS and local vendors.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience.
Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm.
Conditions of Employment
Requires the ability to utilize a personal computer with advanced applications and software technology.
Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
Work Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm
