Oncology Coordinator, Hem/Onc Infusion Services, 1.0 Days Job at UP Health System - Marquette
Assists with the coordination of nursing functions and activities of the Oncology patients in collaboration with the Medical Oncologist and the APP as part of the Oncology Care Team.
Works with internal and external resources to plan, set up and coordinate oncology patient treatment plan
Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services for oncology patients
Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to oncology patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
Designs, evaluates, and recommends program and policy development
Develops and maintains relationships with community referral resources as needed
Minimum Education
Associate's degree in Nursing
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Oncology Nursing Certification within 3 years of taking the position
Licenses:
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan
Minimum Work Experience
5 years nursing experience required
5 years oncology nursing experience preferred
