Moog is hiring for an Operation Trade Specialist (OTS) in East Aurora, New York.
As the Operation Trade Specialist (OTS), you will support and facilitate all activities related to the export and import of goods, technology, and services by obtaining required export/import licenses and government authorizations to ensure Moog's compliance with U.S. export / import laws. You will serve as the subject matter expert and Empowered Official (EO) for the Operation.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Facilitate and consult on trade matters to support the development and administration of international trade. Procure licenses and other USG authorizations as required to comply with U.S. trade regulations.
- Communicate trade requirements to the Group. Identify, counsel and administer all aspects of business activity which are impacted by trade regulations
- Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise in ITAR, EAR, ATF and OFAC regulations affecting the trade of Moog’s product, technology and services
- Act as the ‘go to’ in the use of automated licensing tools and resources as well as responsible for the legality of transactions and accuracy of data
- As the SME in trade compliance, you’ll continuously increase knowledge and understanding of the trade compliance arena and remain aware of and communicate changes in policies and regulations
- Communicate procedures associated with the licensing process, implementation of provisos, technology control, foreign visitor control, foreign travel and hiring of foreign nationals and facilitate the necessary level of training for trade compliance
Qualifications:
- Typically, a Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree in International Business or Global Business or trade-related certifications and/or Engineering Degree highly desirable
- Ten (10) years total experience; Five (5) years in or supporting a manufacturing organization, plus 5 years of direct export/import licensing experience
- Advanced Knowledge of U.S. export/import regulations including ITAR, EAR, ATF and OFAC
- Experience using SAP, GTS, OCR EASE, SNAP-R, and DECCS desired
- Strong work ethic is a must
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on teams and the ability to work projects in a fast-paced environment
- Highly developed and proven written and verbal communication skills
- Minimal travel required for both domestic and international
This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
