Operations Center Production Engineer Job at Perfect Fit Placement
Our client, a worldwide leader in the supply of chemicals and gases to the Chemical, Semiconductor, Power, Food & Beverage, Metals and Energy industries, is seeking a Production Engineer for their Operations Center in the Easton, PA area.
The Operations Center Production Engineer provides specialized production engineering support to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality plant operations across the national chemical plant footprint. Through the engineer’s technical experience, this individual will be responsible for driving plant efficiency and reliability thru operating systems, procedures and practice and serve as a key liaison between site operations staff, Remote Operations and Logistics teams for all sites across North America.
This role directly influences energy costs of $40~50MM for the plants assigned and is directly responsible to minimize power consumption and overall power pricing required to meet production output targets.
Principal Responsibilities:
For assigned plant assets:
- Drive Performance Optimization
- Coordinate the production/operations planning
- Establish the best possible power management plan with logistics and energy services and drive execution
- Review downtime I loss producing events and identify and support implementation of solutions
- Drive resolution of reactive issues with focus areas I site
- Drive pro-active plant health monitoring
- Drive pro-active safety, reliability, and efficiency improvement plan with focus areas
Key Interface Detail – Internal/External:
- Field Operations – single point of contact between ROC and multiple facilities
- Regional Reliability Support Hub Teams
- Central Support Platforms
- Supply Network Logistics Optimization – Supply Chain Planning, Distribution and Energy Teams
- Engineer and Capital Project Management – new plant design and commissioning support
Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of the systems and processes used in Messer
- Technical experience of required
- Strong computer and computer networking proficiency
- Strong Analytical and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a suitable engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical preferred)
- Minimum 5 Years in a process plant related operations or engineering role
