Responsibilities
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Operations Consultant to support operations and to coordinate meetings and events. The Operations Consultant will work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with googledocs and open to learning
Responsibilities include:
- Operations:
Assist with accounts payable and ensure all invoices are processed accurately. Conduct weekly data entry and reports.
Ensure documents (contracts, W-9’s, ACH forms) are completed and filed
Provide general office support such as answering communication, Google Drive filing and organization
Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on operations-related activities
- Event and Institute Logistics
Support with event coordination and execution by researching vendors, coordinating meetings, and managing logistics
Coordinate and manage in person and Zoom meetings
Assist with translating documents
Communicate with language interpreters to ensure smooth institutes
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
Belief in the FIA mission of increasing access of underserved communities to quality education.
Ability to foster positive working relationships across race and culture. Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills
Maintain a positive and proactive attitude while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Critical thinker and problem-solver
Excellent customer service including timely and professional communication
Continuously strive for personal and professional growth by learning and applying new skills
Ability to manage time and consistent follow-through
B.A. or equivalent experience
Support and Development
Meet weekly 1:1 with the Director of Operations for coaching, feedback and support. Hands on training and customized onboarding.
Compensation
$35-45/hour depending on experience. This is a hybrid, consultant role with 2+ days per week required in person at the Oakland office.
Pending grant funding, more hours may be available.
