This is a position for night-shift. The hours for this position will vary between 8pm and 8am.

The Operations (or NOC) Engineer will be in charge providing engineering support for voice and data network connectivity issues, as well as working as a liaison for our clients and escalation teams. They are responsible for providing first level of support and triage to client environments ranging from wired and wireless system connection and hardware to servers and services.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, and will be able to work effectively in a diverse, highly talented team and will provide technical documentation, operations support to networking, servers, virtualization and storage technologies.

Operations Engineers will:

• Monitor service and device up time.
• Configure and install networking equipment as needed
• Participate in upgrade/patching projects and maintenance
• Performing maintenance and troubleshoot devices such as (but not limited to):
• Routers/Switches
• Firewalls
• Servers/Virtual servers
• Phone systems

Operations Engineers will possess:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong customer services skills
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks and prioritize those tasks
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Experience:

• 2-4 Years of IT experience or equivalent education
• Certifications are a plus, but not required
• Experience with NOC or Help Desk required
• Experience with Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare required
• Experience with LogicMonitor

Network Operations Center Engineer Tasks:

• Identify, categorize and respond to client problems
• Create trouble tickets and perform first level triage
• Manage changes, upgrades, improvements and integration
• Monitor and maintain client environment, including responding to tickets
• Work with tier 2 and 3 escalations, manufacturers, and ISPs as needed to ensure highest level of service
• Work directly with clients on their needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
