Management – Manage a team of administrative professionals across the New York City offices.
Human Capital - Help develop staff into high-performers in alignment with corporate HR to deliver support in areas including but not limited to Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding, Training, Managing/Coaching, and effectively managing Employee Performance. Ensure compliance with AY Office and Broker licenses and insurances.
Internal Communications – In collaboration with marketing, spearhead and execute various communications initiatives including newsletters, case studies, meetings, employee recognition, etc.
Marketing/Advertising/Public Relations – Understand strengths of team members and support the marketing team in servicing Brokers and the New York City office with client events, new client pitches, research, and marketing messaging on the website, twitter feeds, and other mechanisms for promoting the Avison Young brand. All branding must be in line with corporate brand strategy.
General Operations and Facilities – Ensure the successful operation of office equipment (e.g., copiers, telephone and internet systems), technology upgrades and problems, building/facility maintenance, vendor and contract management, landlord management, building security, and resolve any disruptions to operations.
Administrative Responsibilities – work directly with Managing Director and be responsible for scheduling meetings, appointments and travel and preparing internal/external documents (proposals, listing agreements, staff memos, etc.); coordinate company events (picnics, volunteer, holiday party, etc.); assist with expense reports; maintain an organized filing system of paper/electronic documents; and uphold a strict level of confidentiality.

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to manage and oversee our office in New York City. This position is a critical role that will wear many hats and interact regularly with the Managing Director and will help support and drive the success of Avison Young in the market.
Responsibilities:
Planning – In collaboration with the Managing Director, create plan to organize, manage, coordinate, and deliver on the key areas for Finance, HR, IT, Communications/PR, Facilities Management, Licensing & Compliance, and CRM.

The base salary for this position if filled within New York City is $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 based on skills and experience, with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus.
Qualifications:
- Education - Minimum of a 4-year college degree in a relevant functional area.
- Experience - 5+ years of experience in operations, managing several areas of work simultaneously.
- Experience managing people and teams.
- Must have experience working within commercial real estate or related industry.
- This position would require someone to be in the office 4 days a week.
