WOW Logistics is now hiring for a Process Engineer!
WOW Logistics is seeking an experienced and motivated Process Engineer, with a background in process development and documentation of existing and new operations.
This role will be an essential part of our company’s continuous improvement, and significantly participate in the development and refinement of WOW’s core operational processes.
As a key stakeholder in the documentation process, you will participate in the express objective of standardizing documentation leading to outstanding training, resulting in improving margins and reducing operational costs.
This position will be based out of the Corporate Office, with occasional travel to existing Distribution Centers as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze the process and system information from various sources for process map, SOP and SWI/VWI creation
- Work directly with operations and engineering teams to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure accuracy in standardization
- Partner with site engineers to identify areas for improvement and ensure accuracy in workflow standards
- Identify WMS and user interface opportunities to remove obstacles for end users
- Primary engineering resource for DC process Subject Matter Expert (SME) team
- Bridges gaps in documentation by identifying the missed opportunities
- Participates in User Acceptance testing of new system enhancements on the WMS and custom featured developed internally as needed
- Lead change control process and ensure Operations & Trainers have the latest/updated controlled & released SOPs only
- Partner with the Quality Control Department to stay abreast with the templates and standard practices that need to be followed while developing SOPs/SWI and other documentation
- Maintain and audit site and/or customer specific workflows and requirements
- Audit office processes and systems on the floor & provide feedback/coaching based on findings
- Stay current on newest tools, practices, & industry standards used in warehouses from documentation standpoint and suggest those as a part of continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering or similar
- 3-5 years of experience in process design and documentation a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehousing or operations industry will be a plus
- Experience working & interfacing with the customer & leadership team
- Technical writing skills
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized; excellent written, listening, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Must be self-directed, self-starter, and be able to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong MS Office Skills: including Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook is a must
- Knowledge and experience working with SharePoint, Smartsheets, OneNote is a plus
- Multi-tasking and flexible to adapt to fast changing requirements
- Ability to prioritize, organize, self-manage, and successfully balance multiple tasks and requests to meet project deadlines
- Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be flexible and patient to work in an ambiguous environment
- Willing to travel as necessary within all locations
