Operations Supervisor
We are looking for a positive, collaborative and results driven Operations Supervisor to provide leadership and direction to our production teams. Our culture is one of ownership and accountability which is embedded and embraced at all levels within the facility. The successful candidate will assimilate and demonstrate our values and encourage the same in others. This position reports to the Operations Manager and provides mature and professional leadership and direction to our production team members to achieve plant goals.
The day in the life of an Operations Supervisor:

Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.

Develop plans and organize work in a manner that support exceeding daily standard production rates while maintaining compliance with safety regulatory and quality standards.

Manages planned and unplanned downtime events while keeping open lines of communication

Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results on shift production summaries.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Leads/supports assigned teams in continuous improvement projects.

Performs administrative tasks such as vacation/payroll/discipline/performance review management and helps monitor the labor and operations budget.

Performs and maintains administrative responsibilities, payroll, budget management, maintenance support, process control coordination, quality assurance, reliability, sanitation, and positive employee relations.
What you will need to know:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience of 2-5 years of direct, hands-on supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication skills are required including conflict resolution, training, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends or other shifts if needed.

Proficient in multi-tasking, organized, high capacity for change and the ability to manage change

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Workday, RedZone, Maximo, etc.)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Able to work cross-functionally in team environment and at various organizational levels
