TruRoots is seeking a full time 2nd shift operations technician. Hours are Monday - Wednesday (5 p.m. to 5 a.m.) and alternating Thursdays (5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.). Starting pay: $20.20, plus .50 cent shift differential. Position responsibilities include:

The Operations Technician works as part of a team responsible for operating equipment on the production line which may include palletizer, shrink wrap, labeler, filler, or mix room.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor, trouble shoot, adjust, and perform minor maintenance to equipment as needed.
• Perform change-over/set up for new products.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Conduct and record periodic quality control checks.
• Adhere to all governmental and Company regulations.
• Work independently or as part of a team, as needed.
• Maintain packing rates.
• Participate in sanitation and maintenance efforts when needed.
• Follow all plant GMPs.
• Follow all plant safety rules.
• Understand all JSAs and Safe Practices.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work a specific shift (1st, 2nd)
• Experience in warehouse operations
• Experience using a Forklift

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Self-motivated, conscientious person who possesses excellent communication skills
• Dependable, well organized, and able to multitask
• Able to maintain a high level of awareness of your work area and the surroundings areas.
• Knowledge of high-speed packing/processing equipment a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic hand tools
• Basic math skills (measurement, fractions, reading gauges)
• Able to understand and operate highly automated equipment with computer interfaces.
• Able to climb, twist, and bend at the knees and back
• Able to maneuver in tight spaces
• Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques
• Able to differentiate between colors
• Able to work in extreme temperature conditions (hot or cold)
• Able to stand and walk a minimum of 70% of the time
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some overtime
