Position
Lift Truck Operator
Primary Responsibilities
Operate various types of industrial lift trucks to load and unload materials, and assist in the construction of deep foundation piles and piling structures in a construction jobsite environment.
Position Requirements
Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks and trailers
Assist in the construction process in conjunction with other heavy equipment at the jobsite
Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the jobsite
Perform daily equipment checks
Adhere to company policies, state and federal regulations
Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
Inspect and perform minor maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment
Identify safety hazards in the workplace
Preferred Experience
Preference given to candidates with good references and a minimum of five years of operating experience that meets or exceeds performance expectations.
Skills and Abilities
Previous lift truck driving experience is preferred. Must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule during busy season. Must be able to work late or irregular hours. Pre-vious knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful. Must understand and maintain the internal and external customer service responsibilities of the position.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have a Class B Drivers License.
Physical Requirements
Constant sitting, reaching and grasping
Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and climbing
All aspects of vision are required – acuity, depth perception and field of vision
Ability to talk and hear is important for communication between co-workers on safety and operational matters af-fecting equipment operations

Suitable work pants with no holes
25-foot tape measure
12” adjustable wrench
