Order Processing Supervisor Job at Kem Krest

Order Processing Supervisor will maximize the output and performance of the order processing department. OP Supervisor will help to direct the work activities of employees in a high-volume supply chain operation through effective leadership, clear communication, and motivation.

OUTCOME: Oversee the coordination and processing of 1000+ orders per day

  • Plan and coordinate workday (regular orders, back orders, exports)
  • Monitor and measures order processing performance for accuracy and metrics (at all 3 Elkhart sites)
  • Review end of day reports to ensure all customer orders required to ship were processed and shipped
  • Maintain personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish Programs’ missions, effectively and efficiently

OUTCOME: Develop Order Processors

  • Train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of order processors; counsel record and discipline as necessary
  • Promote Continuous Improvement throughout department
  • Ensure Order Processors stay certified in DOT, IATA, and IMDG when applicable
  • Promote an environment of cross training and learning

OUTCOME: Work in active partnership with Site Managers, Order Processing teams, and other departments

  • Coordinate day to day functions within Order Processing
  • Participate in on-going job shadowing, hands on and face-to-face training to ensure proficiency in all skills required for position
  • Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews for all order processing staff
  • Conduct interviews and recommendation process for new hires

OUTCOME: Meet or exceed budget targets

  • Balance resources where possible as often as possible
  • Maintain department metrics and issue countermeasures where appropriate
  • Review department performance with team to drive accountability

OUTCOME: Support hazmat shipping at all sites

  • Ensure employees are trained and comfortable in preparing shipments
  • Work with Compliance, Quality, and Freight to ensure compliance with all governing bodies
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ experience in similar position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of making good decisions
  • Detail oriented
  • Computer skills – AS400, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and others)
  • Automotive industry distribution experience
  • International compliance
  • DOT, IATA, IMDG
