Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related area.* Illinois Certification in Substance (CADC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). A minimum of three years’ experience in general alcoholism/addiction treatment with one year supervisory experience. Must have thorough knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/addiction and its application to patient care. Experience with evidence based treatment modalities required. Experience with electronic health records preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Good organization skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems. Good verbal communication skills, ability to provide and follow effectively written and verbal instructions. Excellent documentation skills required. Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates, as well as to retrieve information from policy and procedure manuals. Ability to successfully complete training and perform C.P.R. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis. Sitting, standing, walking short distances are activities that the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor must perform.

Description:

Under the direct supervision of the VP of Clinical Operations/or Program Director, assures that all assigned supervisory, clinical and operational shift functions are properly performed in an accurate and timely manner and performs assigned patient care, educational and counseling responsibilities necessary to provide quality treatment. These responsibilities are essential to meeting licensing and other regulatory requirements and to meet generally acceptable, professional clinical standards. These functions are essential to assist The Council in achieving established goals and objectives as well as to assure efficient and effective Council operations.
