Business Development Manager, Commercial and Industrial Sales

We are seeking experienced consulting (1099) sales professionals located in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts to represent our company in developing commercial energy solution throughout the country.
Qualified applicants must be able to bring projects with property owners and C-level professionals, provided both by our lead generating teams and oneself, from initial contact to closing with our support. We desire seasoned professionals who have AT LEAST 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE selling technical projects valued at over $150,000 each.
Responsibilities:
- Lead generation and pipeline development
- Consult on energy efficiency solutions for commercial prospects
- Work closely with all partners to present value propositions and feasibility studies
- Present solutions to decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Utilize our CRM
Requirements:
- 5 Years Outside B2B sales experience
- Proven ability to manage projects under deadline
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong track record of achievement as evidenced by achievement awards, beating quota, building a new book of business, or growing a market, etc
Market:
Our backyard (CT NY NJ and MA) has some of the most active project developments in commercial solar projects in the nation. We provide services nationwide through our network of installers.Smart Roofs has procured, designed, financed and installed commercial solar projects from 50kw (6000 sqft business) to over 1500kw (9 acres of solar panels) with projects up to 5,000kw currently under development.

Our ongoing training program is designed to provide you the tools, resources, and support you need to succeed right out of the gate. In addition, we provide a constant stream of company-generated appointments through our on-site and off-site call centers. Each consultant works directly with management to help close projects quickly.
We have an in-house engineering team to help design and support projects in real time. We also have an in-house marketing team to provide additional lead nurturing and lead devolopment.
Compensation:
We provide advanced consultanting fees (for each presentation) for developing company and selfgenerated generated leads into presentation. Additionally, commision on average projects is $22,000 with larger projects commisions exceeding $100,000. These are real numbers from real sales reps, this year.

Pay: Up to $300,000.00 per year
