Job Highlights

The Residential Sales Representative is mainly responsible for new business acquisition while maintaining leveraging customer relationships within a book of business in the Orange County NY Market. This opportunity requires a dynamic sales professional with the ability to sell to a Residential customer base and vertically integrate Interstate Waste service into neighborhoods across the County. This position will report to the Upstate NY Regional Sales Manager based out of our Chester Bronx office.

Total compensation for this position ranges between$50,000 -$120,000 with a base salary and uncapped commission structure. This position will also receive a company phone, laptop, car allowance.

Additional Responsibilities

· Prepare sales proposals and make recommendations on equipment as seen fit

· Secure customer service agreements

· Secure new residential subscription customers within our established service area.

· Door to Door Solicitation is required to generate leads and secure additional residential homes

· The individual will achieve sales goals by developing and implementing sound new business strategies, utilizing strong negotiation efforts to generate business and secure contractual agreements.

· Track accounts that have moved and follow-up in an effort to secure new homeowner business.

Work Environment

  • The Sales position will be based in our Chester, NY location, however most of the job duties require traveling throughout Orange County. The successful candidate will thrive in an independent, entrepreneurial environment.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • High school/GED education completed.
  • Minimum one year outside sales experience.
  • Must have geographic knowledge of Orange County, NY.
  • Must have advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Fluency in English required, Spanish is a plus.
  • Must work well in team environment as well as use independent discretion when carrying out sales agreements and relationships
  • Driver’s license is required
  • Subject to background checks and fingerprinting to secure Town and Village Solicitation Permits
  • Position requires solicitation on some weekday evenings and Saturday and/or Sunday during the day.

Preferred Requirements

· 4 year degree from an accredited institution.

· 3+ years outside sales experience.0
