The Pacemaker Technician is part of the overall health care team responsible for Cardiology related services.
Responsibilities:
- May provide supervisory support and assistance to Management, as applicable.
- Provides evaluation and device management to patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Educates patients and families regarding device function, clinic follow-up scheduling and device home monitoring.
- Ensures correct billing and coding of device checks.
- Identifies opportunities for enhanced workflow in the clinics in collaboration with management.
- Assists with wound checks following implants.
- Assists the physician and other health care professionals in related technical areas as needed.
- Functions without supervision and, may coordinate others, as applicable.
- 5 years of cardiac device manufacturer experience can substitute for Tech school.

- Required 3 years Cardiology
- Or 5 years of cardiac device manufacturer experience can substitute for Tech school
