WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Our ClosetMaid facility is in Ocala, FL. It is a 600,000 sq. ft. manufacturing distribution and office facility.

Manufacturing - 2nd Shift (2:30pm-11:00pm); Monday to Friday, overtime when needed.

Second Shift pays an additional $1 per hour shift differential pay.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Packaging Operator, you will operate mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment to fabricate, finish, or package products. As well as, operate, set-up, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing machinery, at various stations in their primary role. Support and assist in overall department operations as needed.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

• Maintains communication flow with supervisors and other operators on changes, concerns, or feedback to the department's processes and operation. Utilizes available visual communication tools in achieving this duty.
• Assists the department in cross-functional tasks and projects as needed.
• Ensures that any product being produced meets the minimum standards of quality and quantity as specified.
• Uses the control board and necessary computerized equipment to monitor processes and log information.
• Assists in production change-overs and performs preventative maintenance on equipment as needed while maintaining good housekeeping standards.
• Maintains appropriate control of tools and parts.

Requirements:

• Positive attitude and open to working in a communicative, team environment.
• Time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to understand and interpret manual and computer based data into production requirements
• Works in a collaborative environment, leading and supporting other peers in various tasks as needed

Preferred:

• High School or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience
