Job Summary: The Packaging Tech 1 position is an hourly, full-time, entry level position within the Packaging department. The Packaging Tech 1 position will report to the line leads and production manager. The qualified applicant must possess a minimum of the following skills, knowledge and experience and have all the requisite skills. The incumbent will report directly to line leads and Production Manager.

As a condition of employment, this position may be required to work a rotational swing shift that includes nights and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to learn all the packaging line equipment
• Required to do Safety training each month
• Required to do all other trainings for the year
• Able to stack and wrap pallet according to the right configuration
• Aid in the cleaning and sanitation of the line each day
• Follow all company policies & procedures, always reflect organizational core values and strive to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Practice safe work methods and comply with wearing and using the proper PPE 100% of the time on the floor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a comprehensive background check, in line with Company Policy
• Uphold all safety standards
• Basic knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly
• Ability to work 10+ hours a day
• Must have the ability to frequently reach, twist, stoop, bend, crouch, stand and walk for 10+ hour shifts.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and work in varying temperatures
