Paraplanner - Financial Services Job at Synergy Staffing Services
Well known Johnson County Wealth Management firm is adding a para planner to their growing staff.
The Paraplanner role makes a significant contribution to an advisory practice by providing comprehensive technical support for the financial planning process. It leverages an advisor’s time by providing research and accurate data for financial plans and reviews. Responsibilities defined below vary from individual to individual and how the advisor chooses to rely on the paraplanner.
Responsibilities
Technology Support
- Provides technology expertise to the advisor, assuring that the use of technology for the advisor’s practice is optimized.
- Serves as the technology “go-to” person for the team.
- Performs research as needed.
- Produces investment reviews supported by the investment director.
Financial Plan Manufacture
- Leads the financial plan manufacture process between the practice and Planning Department resources.
- Analyzes data and crafts solutions, interfacing with the team and the Planning Department.
- Produces financial plan draft and final program.
Client Meetings Preparation
- Prepares advisor(s) for meetings by having all forms, required data, presentations, plans, and programs assembled and organized.
- Participates in client meetings as appropriate.
Client Interaction
- Processes financial planning advisory fees, insurance, and wealth management paperwork. Facilitates DocuSign collection of completed forms.
- Acts as liaison to our Third-Party Asset Managers and Investment Banking counterparties, as well as our clients’ CFO’s, attorneys, and CPAs.
Education
· Bachelor's degree preferred. Graduate from business school preferred or equivalent work experience.
· A minimum of three years of operational experience in the Financial Services industry is required.
· Prefer Series 7 registered and insurance licensed; CFP® or in progress.
Skills
- Must be a “self-starter”.
- Knowledge of business-related technology tools such as Morningstar, Redtail, eMoney.
- Strong PC skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database management) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;
- Strong research, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
· A Paraplanner must be instrumental in creating a positive work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
