A BW Blacksmith Coffee Co baker is passionate about full-range baking: desserts, cookies, and pastries, as well as using their talent to produce fancy desserts and fabulous cakes. Taking pride in producing top-notch products for our customers is a must-have! Our bakers work with ovens, mixers, and proofers to bake products that meet the highest quality, freshness, and safety standards.

Our bakers ensure that our display cases visually WOW our customers not only with eye-catching desserts and baked goods, but also keep the display clean, organized, fresh, and well-stocked.

Job duties can include, but not be limited to:

• Following recipes and/or product directions for preparing desserts and pastries
• Fulfilling BW Blacksmith Coffee Co location orders accurately and on time
• Ensuring restaurant displays are always properly stocked and presentable
• Cleaning and sanitizing workstations and equipment
• Practicing excellent food safety and sanitation practices, complying with HACCP standards
• Performing weekly inventory to ensure the necessary baking materials for products
• Stocking, dating, and rotating products; performing product temperature checks

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
• Requires food knowledge pertaining to working in a kitchen and pantry
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
• Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
• Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and ovens

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
