Currently, YAP employs more than 2,000 dedicated workers and we serve thousands of families a year in more than 100 rural, urban, and suburban communities nationwide. Our mission is to engage human services systems so that they rely less on institutional care and invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, primary health care, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, youth people, young adults, families, and adults. Summary of the Position: The YES Waiver Behavioral Health Provider provides paraprofessional (mentor) and in home respite support services in a variety of home and community-based settings to children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances to contribute to their community functioning and assist them in avoiding institutionalization.
