Job Summary:

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Active faith group or chaplaincy experience preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Theological education (Master's degree) from a CHEA Member organization, accredited college or university which fulfills education requirements for Board Certification in Chaplaincy (BCC) from the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC) or Spiritual Care Association (SCA). Major in theology or related field preferred.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Satisfactory completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or its equivalent.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Ecclesiastical endorsement by a faith group preferred.

LICENSURE PREFERRED:

Ordination or commissioning to function in a ministry of spiritual care (Rostered Deacon) by an appropriate faith group, preferred.
