Location: 405 E. Market Street, Lockhart, TX 78644

SUMMARY
Performs Lockhart ISD School Security. Enforces local, state, and federal laws; under moderate supervision engages in investigatory duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lockhart ISD School Security.
- Responds to inquiries and serves as liaison to other agencies and the public.
- Transports prisoners to jail.
- Serves warrants, makes arrests.
- Responds to major emergencies and disasters.
- Provides building security services and person inspections.
- May perform traffic related functions.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have an active Peace Officer License and Basic Certification in TCOLE Law.
- Must have knowledge of Civil Process and Arrest Procedures.
- Understands proper use of firearms.
- Able to write incident reports.
- Ability to respond to unexpected situations in a reasonable and professional manner and has good basic communication skills.
- Must be able to safely operate a Police Vehicle.
- Must be able to perform basic physical functions. (kneeling, squatting, lifting)
- Must have good vision depth perception.
- Must have ALERRT training.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
