Who we’re looking for:
Summary: We are looking for a part-time English Language Arts Curriculum Alignment Contractor who can align multiple English language arts curriculums from external publishers to existing mini assessments for grades 3-8. The Contractor will work remotely and report to the product manager responsible for curriculum alignment. The expected duration of the project is approximately 3 months through the end of August 2023, with a possibility of extension.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities
- Review English language arts curriculums for grades 3-8 from various sources and identify and document the learning objectives and outcomes for each unit.
- Align the English language arts curriculums with mini assessments and flag any gaps or concerns.
- Document and report the alignment results and recommendations for each English language arts s curriculum.
- Use school district calendars and/or assessment administration windows to develop assessment administration timing guidance.
Education and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in English language arts, education, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in K-12 public education, preferably as an English language arts teacher, English language arts department chair, English language arts coach, or related role.
- A strong knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for English language arts and best practices in English language arts alignment and reporting.
- Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, effective internet searches, and ability to learn new platforms and applications quickly.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- This position is located in Austin, Texas and is a remote work opportunity.
