YAI has immediate openings for Counselors at our START Resource Center in Jamaica, NY. Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team providing positive and holistic therapeutic interventions for people with both developmental disabilities and mental health/complex behavioral needs.
Hours:
Monday & Tuesday - 2pm-10pm
The ideal candidate will possess qualities such as compassion, creativity, optimism, and an endless desire to learn.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Work or life experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
Ability to participate in 3-5 weekdays of paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial trainings during normal business hours upon hire
Tuberculosis test mandatory for most positions (provided FREE of charge by our Premier HealthCare clinic)
