Westfield has nine schools, one administration building, one transportation building, one natatorium and one support services building that contains nearly two-hundred acres of grounds

Strong technical skills in grounds and landscape providing strong day to day performance and operational excellence.

Knowledge of athletic field maintenance and working knowledge of artificial turf maintenance.

Ability to keep logs of fertilization and chemical spraying records.

Willing to learn different roles and help others on the team.

Driving the Zero Harm mindset. Being safe and cautious in all aspects of the job.

Make sure all equipment is maintained with organized maintenance logs, kept clean and taken care of.

Make sure that playgrounds are kept safe and in working order.

Comes up with a turf management plan to ensure grounds are kept up and documented (e.g. spraying, fertilizing, seeding).

Applying fertilizers and pesticides to common areas and athletic fields according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions

Driving school vehicles to all Westfield Schools locations

Snow removal and salting of roads, parking lots, and sidewalks
-
Maintaining vehicle and equipment cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance
- Valid operator license

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Position Summary: This position provides necessary support to the district grounds maintenance by providing the beautification of WWS grounds. Specific duties include athletic field turf care, application of fertilizers, insecticides, etc., mowing and trimming grounds, general landscaping, and performing minor repair and maintenance to grounds equipment.
