Based in Speedway, Indiana, this Fairlawn team member will work on the front line for a 237-unit multifamily community. The Leasing & Resident Services Specialist will be accountable for cultivating relationships with prospects and ultimately finding them the best home. Founded in 2015, Fairlawn Real Estate is a dynamic real estate firm that specializes in acquiring, renovating, developing, and managing real estate projects in Illinois and Indiana.

What will you do?

• Exemplify the core values of Be Kind, Be Flexible, Own It and Always Improve
• Match prospective residents with their perfect home - this means being well versed with our properties and amenities
• Assist Managers with the lease renewals process as well as creation and implementation of marketing strategies
• Provide exceptional customer service and support through multiple communication channels (phone, email, text)
• Process maintenance requests, prepare move-in paperwork, perform move-in orientations, maintain resident files
• Learn and ensure compliance with all Fair Housing Laws including local, state, and federal housing regulations (We provide training)
• Pivot, roll up your sleeves and jump in where needed!

Requirements

Who you are - We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have previous customer service experience
• Are comfortable using a variety of computer applications required (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
• Have experience with property management software preferred (e.g. AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, Propertyware)
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have superior attention to detail, high energy and positive attitude
• Have the ability to work independently and also to work closely with other team members
• Have a high school diploma or GED

Some additional things you will need:

• Valid driver’s license
• Weekend availability (Saturdays are required)
• Availability to work longer hours and weekends during prime leasing season and turnover (specific dates vary from year to year)
• Must be able to perform the physical functions of the position resident communications, not limited to: ability to walk properties, complete physical inspections, deliver communications and show properties
