Job Summary
Department: Center for Urban and Regional Excellence (CURE)
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Provides consistent and timely customer service by greeting in-person visitors to CURE, receiving and documenting messages, answering/returning phone and email inquiries, and providing appropriate information and referrals; maintain program/initiative records and databases to include both hardcopy and digital files.
- Supports outreach and marketing efforts by creating promotional materials, posting to the CURE Facebook pages, updating the Garden LibGuide, maintaining CURE’s IUN Collaboratory activities, and reviewing the CURE webpages for needed updates; research tools used by CURE to build programs
- Helps prepare of meeting agendas, presentations, summaries, and other materials; support activities/events by inventorying, organizing, transporting/setup of supplies.
- Assists instructors with programs/workshops (in-person and virtual) by greeting participants, taking attendance, distributing/collecting releases and evaluations, and ensuring paperwork is completed and filed.
- Assists with the scheduling/coordinating meetings to include creating, tracking, and reporting on the results of scheduling/opinion polls; attend campus and/or community meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or GED
SKILLS
Required
- Self-motivated and interested in learning new skills.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
- Proficiency in Salesforce
Working Conditions / Demands
Hours: 20 hours per week; possible weekend and evening hours
Preferred Start Date: January 9, 2023
