Position Overview.
The role of the Partner Engagement Officer, or Donor Relations Specialist, is to be the face of Asha Partners with existing and potential donors. This individual will help communicate the vision and impact of Asha Partners to our partners (individuals, foundations, and organizations) in order to grow and steward financial resources.
Through calls, in-person, and written communication, the Partner Engagement Officer will help to cultivate relationships of gratitude with donors on behalf of the Asha Partners' leadership team. This includes fundraising both toward annual campaign goals and helping to grow the donor base. Additionally, this individual will also play a critical role in helping to implement fundraising events such as the Asha Partners annual gala.
The primary customer relationship manager tool the Partner Engagement Officer will use is Blackbaud/Raisers Edge, where he/she will be responsible for keeping track of the donor process (prospecting, cultivation, close, donor development) and updating existing contact information as needed.
This individual will represent the organization at events, helping with all relevant logistics and working with the administration team to successfully complete events while being the face of the organization.
Additional responsibilities include leading and developing volunteer teams and other administrative responsibilities as needed such as mailers and phone calls. This role will report to the Global & Domestic CEOs/Co-Founders.
Responsibilities:

- Communicate the vision and impact of Asha Partners effectively with donors and prospective donors
- Help develop and execute Asha Partners annual fundraising plans
- Help grow and secure financial support from individuals, foundations, churches and corporations
- Manage the donor relationships cycle and donor profile information in Raiser’s Edge
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with donors
- Be the face of Asha Partners, helping to create and implement events
- Help develop and lead volunteer teams
- Help with office calls, mailers and projects with the admin. team as needed
Compensation.
Compensation will include a base salary determined by level of experience.
Qualifications.
- Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills working with donors; pleasant disposition, amiable
- 1-2 years of experience in a development or advancement services position
- Experience with databases
- Experience managing events
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential data.
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills (oral, technical, and written)
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is preferable
- Public speaking experience
- Leadership experience
- Teachable and desire to grow
