Job Responsibilities:
- The Parent Partnership Program Manager manages parent engagement programs within the Child Welfare Services Division. This position works with staff and community partners to implement a lived expertise advisory panel as well as the agency's Peer Parenting Program.
Manages and oversees the implementation of the Peer Parent Program including leading the team that works directly with peer parents to deliver mentorship.
Manages and oversees the Lived Expertise Parent Panel including supervising the program coordinator that directly leads the panel and coordinates subsequent action steps.
Maintains expert knowledge of best practice engaging individuals with lived experience and uses that knowledge to implement Peer Parent Program and guide the Lived Expertise Panel work.
Maintains working knowledge of DSS policies and updates. Oversees timely implementation and effective execution of all agency policies by providing oversight of direct reports in coaching and training staff in policy application, discussing policy changes and updates.
Maintains all data related to implementation of the Peer Parent Program and Lived Expertise Panel and reports to leadership, federal partners and community partners as requested.
Works collaboratively with staff, stakeholders and the provider community to integrate lived expertise into programs with the goal of elevating the voice of individuals with lived expertise to improve systems statewide.
Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duties/services as directed.
A Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration.
A Master's Degree and three (3) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration.
