General Statement of Duties:
The Chart Prep Coordinator is responsible for retrieving information for patients who require medical clearance by the Hospitalist prior to scheduled surgery. There are specific guidelines to be followed regarding documentation that will be requested. The PASS/PAT Coordinator communicates with the PAT/PASS team on the status of preparation of the accounts requested.
Essential Duties:
Reviews upcoming scheduled surgeries records request. Ensure all tests, labs and documentation is present in the chart.- Ensure turnaround time for completion is maintained at a minimum of 3 days prior to scheduled surgery.
- Notifications to PAT/PASS department required of any issues present with the chart preparation prior to surgery.Records will be requested from other facilities that cannot be found in current documentation systems.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required, specialty training beyond high school preferred- 1-2 years of related experience required, 2-4 years of experience preferred
