Private practice dental office seeking a 4 day a week Patient Care Coordinator with full time benefits. Looking for a charismatic, bubbly personality!! We are a state-of-the-art, paperless practice with the latest in technology committed to providing the highest standard of care to patients. Our Patient Care Coordinator will handle various administrative tasks in our front office area. Attention to detail and hospitality is a must. This position plays an important part in communicating effectively with patients and maintaining an organized administrative schedule. Office is open one Friday a month. Compensation will be based on experience.

Functions of the Business Coordinator

To maintain and organize all administrative functions of the front office, including the following:

  • Receiving, distributing, and forwarding office emails;
  • Following office procedures for patient referrals to specialists;
  • Answering the office phone and distributing calls or messages accordingly;
  • Communicating patient arrival promptly;
  • Scanning patient dental treatment plans and documenting notes in patients’ online chart;
  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice with a positive and energetic attitude;
  • Following office procedure for scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed;
  • Assisting patients in filling out forms;
  • Preparing daily schedules for the dental staff in a paperless setting;
  • Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures;
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing patient reminders;
  • Collecting small co-payments and deductibles as needed;
  • Ordering office and administrative supplies.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A friendly, positive demeanor with patients and supported dental office team members
  • Great administrative organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs and platforms
  • Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of dentistry and dental procedures
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to travel for training, occasionally out of state
  • Eaglesoft a plus
  • Must have Dental Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
