Responsible for patient food service on assigned unit, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of training or experience in nutrition/dietetics required.
• Prefer one year of clerical experience in a health care facility or equivalent college hours.
• Knowledge of menu editing or diet modification desirable.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must have the ability to write legibly.
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to communicate and cooperate with all hospital personnel in every conceivable circumstance.
• Possess necessary skills to effectively operate hospital's admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer-based systems that manage patient-care records.
• Must be able to handle direct patient contact.
