Monday- Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., every 6th Saturday.
Position Description
Registers patients, helps answer patient questions about bills and statements, answer switchboard calls, collect patient balances and copays and updates patient information in Epic software. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answers all incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner; transfers calls to appropriate staff
- Verifies insurance eligibility via Passport or phone - either prior to appointment or as patient is being registered
- Addresses patients with any eligibility and/or balance concerns
- Verifies and accurately records patient demographics
- Distributes financial assistance paperwork to patients requesting assistance
- Maintains effective communication between departments

Position Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required
- Previous medical registration or office experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical office practices and procedures
- Knowledge of computer programs required
- Must have good interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- BCLS certified within 60 days of hire
