Job Share with 2nd part time co-worker alternating 2 days one week and 3 the next. Core schedule is Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday.
Description: The Patient Service Representative screens all inbound calls, schedules appointments, manages physician and PA schedules, screen patients for appropriate clinical teams, appointment appropriateness, and offers a seamless experience for our patients.
Requirements: High School Diploma. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a physician office answering phones and scheduling patients for appointments.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Answers all telephone calls for multi provider practice with the goal of accurately scheduling patients within the established guidelines.
· Routing clinical inquiries to appropriate staff
· Reschedule patient appointments
· Promote a positive and productive environment supporting teamwork and communication.
· Ensure provider schedules are monitored for accurate scheduling
· Proactively monitors and escalates areas of concern or uncertainty relating to patient access.
· Data entry for new patient information
· Understand the different types of health insurance and the benefits
· Exhibit sensitivity to patient health information and protects confidentiality
· Administrative functions as needed
