Summary:

Responsible for supporting the Payments Team in a comprehensive data management capacity within the growing payments division. Responsible for managing assigned Payments Processors including, but not limited to, monitoring daily Processor data ingestion to ensure that all downstream systems are able to complete all needed tasks, working with third party vendors to mitigate issues related to data quality, and working with internal teams to solve data related issues.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in card, network and/or Payment's processing. Sales or relationship management or vendor management is preferred. A baseline understanding of large data files and file transfer. Experience with database technologies such as mySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Linux etc. Experience with relational and non-relational data base platforms. HPCC/ECL knowledge preferred. Five or more years of experience with Data Mapping/Conversion. Experience/Certification in big data technologies.


Essential Functions:

  • Manage assigned Payments Processor accounts for all operational related items/issues.
  • Works with internal stakeholders to create, maintain and distribute performance dashboards for various company KPI's.
  • Works with card processors to thoroughly understand their daily reporting file specifications.
  • Owns the Sutton Payments data file specification requirements; reviews, updates and ensures Partner's reporting is up to par.
  • Maps all new Partner file specifications to the Sutton generalized specification ensuring data integrity.
  • Lead Payment Processor integration efforts and implementation solutions to improve Payment Processor relationships and enhance programs.
  • Assist in vendor selection process.
  • Lead the implementation of balance, reconciliation, monitoring and control processes.
  • Ensure that procedures are followed when it comes to important processes that relate to data management and change management.
  • Monitor and report Payment Processor performance in relation to service level agreements.
  • Monitor and document daily data processing and quality indicators.
  • Query and analyze data to troubleshoot issues and ensure data quality.
  • Review, analyze, and modify vendor configurations and programs including verification, validation, and deployment efforts.
  • Perform problem management and resolution, escalation of issues as necessary.
  • Present and communicate findings from data analysis.
  • Develop new internal processes to uncover and solve data validation issues.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • The ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications.
  • Strong knowledge of the Payments Industry and/or card processing.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Possess an analytical aptitude to anticipate and identify problems related to third party vendors, data quality and data variance.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Self-directed and motivated.
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts both written and oral.
  • Ability to read, analyze and comprehend general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, audit reports, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, vendors and management staff.
  • Ability to effectively present information to individuals one-on-one or a small group setting.
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
  • Ability to work with SQL to develop IDE's.
  • Ability to work with database technologies like mySQL, Oracle, SQL Server.
  • Ability to manipulate data for meaningful reporting.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively, both independently and in team settings.
