Position Overview:
The Payroll Administrator processes weekly payrolls and union benefits and works effectively with team members to ensure that all personnel are paid correctly and timely for all USA Civil regions nationally.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process time entry which includes checking the accuracy of these payments for the day to day running of payrolls
  • Ensure that payments are properly processed and cashable;
  • Process starters and leavers;
  • Input timesheets, ensuring these are correct and up to date;
  • Deal with payroll queries from managers and employees, and resolving these with, where required, the support of the Accounting Department;
  • Maintain payroll records within the department, including:
    • sick records;
    • holiday records;
    • starters and leavers;
    • calculation and processing union fringe benefits;
    • completing agency reporting and inquiries;
    • filing and maintenance of reporting in employee personnel files;
  • Produce reports for managers and the payroll team.
Job Description:

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience of working in payroll (preferred experience in construction setting);
  • Computer Literate – Microsoft packages including working knowledge of Excel (Essential) JDE (Preferred);
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and regulations (Essential);
  • Good Math skills (Essential);
  • Good interpersonal skills, relating well to both colleagues and clients, and building and sustaining long term relationships (Essential);
  • Problem solving skills, with the ability to anticipate potential problems and overcome problems effectively (Essential);
  • Associate Degree or higher preferred.
