Purpose: The role of the Payroll Clerk is to review and process payroll for the entire office

Work Schedule: Flex-schedule, Nominal 9 hours per day; Monday through Thursday 7:30AM-5:00PM; Friday 8:00AM-12:00PM

Responsibilities:

· Payroll, PTO, Time Entry

· Process all hand checks from checkbook

· Assist in other areas of department as needed

Key Tasks:

· Answer telephone throughout the day and transfer calls to appropriate employee

· Handle time entry process weekly (process timecards, both office & field)

· Manhour reporting

· Handle all payroll for the company (biweekly) as well as tax reporting (monthly, quarterly, yearly)

· Daily contact for 401K retirement plan (biweekly submittal of remittance, maintain loan accounts)

· Statements for delinquent A/R accounts

· Apply client payments to outstanding invoices

· Maintain employee benefits such as vacation, sick, etc.

· Reconcile all bank accounts each month

· Process garnishments (biweekly)

· Prepare W2 and 1099s

· Prepare monthly journal entries

· Allocate costs monthly

· Assist with other dept duties when needed (Project charge entry, AP credit card receipts, weekly bill payment)

· Train when needed.

Essential Qualifications:

· Knowledge of accounting or accounting experience

· Attention to detail

· Ability to work on a team and multi-task

Work Conditions:

· Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

· Ability to concentrate and simultaneously adapt to changing priorities on a regular basis.

Environment:

Payroll Clerk works within the Administrative team in an office environment.
