Payroll/HR Assistant Job at TBEI, Inc.
Job Summary
Responsible for meeting customer needs by:
- Assist (HR and Finance) staff in regards to the payroll/HR/time and attendance system which includes double checking time cards, processing payroll for various facilities
- Work closely with other areas within the site and TBEI to improve processes and activities that directly impact the areas of responsibility.
- Assist in the Process of Payroll, employee benefits, including insurance, 401k, miscellaneous deductions and incentive pay
- Work with Payroll manager and local HR representatives to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Meet established deadlines with regards to payroll, month-end and other time sensitive tasks.
- Protect the organization’s information through confidentiality and internal controls.
- Assist leaders and managers in resolving their needs and provide the agreed upon information and support.
- Assist in data entry for benefits and all payroll needs
- Assist where needs for the finance department across various facilities
- Assist VP of HR with projects and data entry as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions / Competency:
- Previous Payroll or HR experience preferred
- Must be able to prioritize and work on multiple projects and meet delivery dates.
- Ability to understand complete Payroll process, how Time Clock and HR modules interact, how costs are transferred to ERP system and all other aspects. This includes the ability to effectively use various Payroll and HR systems and software.
- Willingness to learn and understand operations in assigned area of responsibility.
- Must have flexibility and interpersonal skills to identify, analyze, and solve.
- Excellent communication skills must be used to regularly communicate and/or discuss issues affecting your area of responsibility.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, ability to learn payroll system and other platforms as needed.
- Prompt and reliable attendance. Customer demand, employee needs or company need
- Work week is flexible except for payroll days
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
