JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the accurate and timely processing of hospital payroll. Orients new employees to payroll and trains new managers or other designees on payroll/timekeeping system. Assist in processing and preparation of 401K quarterly reconciliation for Plan Administrator/Trustee review, maintain 401K documentation as required. Function as an assistant to Controller in maintaining internal control documentation and audit preparation. Payroll weeks may require longer hours.

COMPUTER/TYPING/MATH SKILLS
- Ability to use a calculator and personal computer.
- Ability to accurately type.
- Proficient typing skills, experience in Microsoft Applications a plus

Ability to analyze and evaluate timekeeping system to ensure that pay rules are being processed correctly.

Ability to handle employee issues in a calm and professional manner.

Ability to maintain confidentiality related to employee payroll information.

Ability to clearly report issues and identify potential problems to Controller.

Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
