JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR of HUMAN RESOURCES

JOB PURPOSE: Power Distributing is looking for a Director of Human Resources who can play a key role in making our company a preferred employer for top talent in our industry and someone who can take a “hands-on” approach in leadership. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Human Resources will be a strategic partner accountable for a variety of HR areas with the highest priority on end-to-end talent management: source identification, recruitment, selection, onboarding, engagement, development, and assessment.

This position will be accountable for compensation & benefits, employee relations, HRIS management, and the performance management process. The Director of HR will be part of the executive leadership team supporting both Power Distributing (a Red Bull distributor) and Romano Beverage (a wine and spirits distributor).

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

  • Serves as the strategic advisor, functional expert, and thought partner to the CEO and other Executive Leadership Team members regarding all people-related activities.
  • Establishes and implements people strategies and practices that support the company's growth, mission and strategic vision, and promotes employee engagement and retention within a high-performance culture.
  • Leads the company's diversity initiatives; provides the leadership required to help articulate the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion to our business. Policy and procedures development and updates.
  • Structures the talent acquisition process for maximum efficiency and communication both externally and internally; identifies and develops best sources for recruiting candidates; actively recruits candidates; plans, organizes, updates and improves the interview process for both candidate and hiring manager satisfaction; develops and manages best-in-class onboarding process. Manages the applicant tracking system.
  • Develops and enhances programs to improve employee engagement, satisfaction and development; handles employee relations issues in collaboration with department and senior management; Leads the internal performance management process.
  • Interacts with outside legal and professional resources when needed. Ensures compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Evaluates and proposes systems, tools, and technology to improve the efficiency of the HR function. Actively pursues continuous HR technology improvement and innovation. Manages employee information via the HRIS (ADP) platform and ensures its productive, efficient and confidential use.
  • Builds respect & trust across the company resulting organizational strength.
  • Upholds issues of confidentiality & privacy inherent in the HR function.


QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the human resources function with increased responsibility; labor relations experience desired but not required. Experience leading an HR team.
  • Strong background in talent acquisition (recruiting, interviewing, onboarding)
  • Demonstrated ability to impact organizational talent level and employee engagement
  • Demonstrated practice of cooperation, empathy, consensus, and a strategic orientation
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal & written communication, and relationship-building skills; proven ability to earn credibility and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Agile, high energy, ethical, resilient, pragmatic; accepts and embraces concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion; has a growth mindset with the ability to lead and act decisively.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws as well as in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
  • Compliance proficiency in Workers Compensation, EEO, AA, ERISA, FMLA, DOL, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA, OSHA and ISO 9000.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
