Perishable Manager Job at IGA
Main responsibilities of the Perishable Manager: Provide eye catching, beautiful and fresh-looking displays.
The Perishables Manager position duties will include overseeing all store fresh merchandising activities and coordinating plans with cooperation of center-store manager. Key responsibilities are: Sales, Shrink Control, Profitability, Inventory Control, Service Levels (out of stocks) in all fresh departments.
The Perishables Manager will prepare and implement objectives for all perishable department managers and will administer their performance reviews on a quarterly basis.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervising all fresh department management teams
Achieving all fresh department budgets (Sales, Gross Profit, Throwaway, Labor Control, and Supply Costs) This includes Produce, Deli/Bakery, Floral, Meat, Dairy, and Frozen.
Following and enforcing all company policies and programs.
Training and developing perishable management and associates for future needs.
Evaluating competition and making recommendations to the Store Manager on strengths and weaknesses.
Communicating daily with Store Manager on any store opportunities/events.
Building store and department teamwork
Direct responsibility along with department managers for hiring/training new associates.
Enforcing and administering all total store policies in fresh departments and working closely with store management on all service expectations.

Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends
Pay: $40000 - $45000 / year
