The Pharmacy billing specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining strong and dependable relationships with our specialty pharmacy, participating network providers and Progyny patients. The Pharmacy Billing Specialist must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment, be creative, resourceful, collaborative, and customer driven.
Schedule: M-F, 11am - 8pm EST

What you'll do...

• Act as a pharmacy liaison between the specialty pharmacy, provider relations team and patient care advocate team in relation to members' needs
• Daily interactions with specialty pharmacy with regards to insurance verification & eligibility assisting with expedited authorization requests, sending treatment authorizations, reconciling outstanding authorizations, and prescription billing and billing error/reimbursement resolution.
• Serves as a primary contact for receiving phone calls from pharmacy vendors and participating provider offices
• Documents and makes notations in each patient’s profile regarding every update and aspect of patients’ medication needs
• Address member dissatisfaction retroactively and proactively in order to ensure a great member experience.

About you...

• Minimum 3 years’ health care experience related to billing and customer service
• Health care claims experience preferred
• Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint & Word
• Evidence of critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and connect dots
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify, build strong relationships and utilize resources effectively
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction on multiple endeavors at once

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary wage for NYC-based applicants is: $25.00 - 35.00. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
