ABOUT THE POSITION
The Philanthropy Coordinator is responsible for building and executing the development plan, implementing all aspects of philanthropy, responsible for running special events related to fundraising and community outreach, and also spearheading development efforts in collaboration with key stakeholders as AWS grows all philanthropic initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and execute AWS annual fundraising plan and securing financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations
2. Manage the implementation of the Donor Management system and execute data entry and gift processing
3. Develop and manage a solid Stewardship strategy to cultivate relationships that maintains ongoing relationships with major donors
4. Partner with staff to recruit philanthropic-driven volunteers
5. Oversees the creation and execution of special events and community outreach events with the partnership of staff, volunteers, advisory committee, and any other key stakeholders
6. Maintain an organized system of moves management of all prospects to ensure consistent and high-performing results
7. Perform other duties as assigned

30 -40 hrs

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years of relevant work experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Philanthropy or a related field is required.
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a dynamic, fast-moving team under the pressure of tight deadlines.
Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate projects and keep them on track.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills; attention to detail is a must.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly.
Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest professional and ethical standards.
Experience with Google Drive and databases relevant to the Position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using Salesforce or similar development database programs is strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
